snookman03
Hello everyone, I just bought a TrueLumen LED moonlight and I have to say it is very bright and really makes my corals POP. I have a 12" 36W Coralife pc light fixture and I need some help on where to mount the LED's. My lights sit directly on top of the tank on a piece of glass, I have a canopy but cannot mount the LED's to the canopy because the light fixture will block the LED's light. I was wondering if it would be too hot for the LEDs to be mounted VERY close to the pc bulbs. Thanks for your suggestions Link to comment
Mustang Boy
is there any way you could mount the fixture up higher in the canopy somehow? if so you could attach the LEDs to the fixture that way Link to comment
snookman03
Thanks mustang boy you got me thinking and this is what I came up with... I used furniture pads and built up the light to give enough clearance for the moonlight. I then cut a piece of acrylic to mout the Light in the middle of the fixture. I did not want to mount the light higher in the canopy, want the light as close to the water as possible. This moonlight is great, very bright and makes my corals really pop. Hope this helps someone else!!!! Link to comment
