Mr. Microscope
Hello All, I have a Magician frag. The main head has not opened properly for the last two days. Water parameters are fine, all other zoas/polys are looking good, even the new baby magician head coming up looks okay. It's gone from the image on the left, to the image on the right. The only thing I can think of is that I pulled an asterina off of it yesterday. Perhaps it was bothering it. But it still looks like crap today. Any suggestions? Link to comment

Weetabix7
You don't have pods munching on it do you? It's possible that it's getting a stronger level of light than it likes. I'd try dipping it, maybe in lugol's iodine. Lugol's Dip: 1 cup tankwater 1 drop lugol's iodine 3-4 mins You can try other dips as well, depending on what you have on hand. Observe it closely to make sure there are no pests bothering it. Link to comment
organism
How are you measuring your salinity? Link to comment
Mr. Microscope
I use a hydrometer. I think it's an acurate one. I know they are only accurate at 80F, which seems to be the resting temp of my tank. I keep it at 1.026. Measured it today and it's good. Why? Are magicians known for being touchy to salinity?
