Mr. Microscope
Right now I am using the stock 9W light that comes with the JBJ Picotope to light the chaeto in my fuge at night. I was thinking about trying to add it to my main display to give my 18w Current Satellite a boost. What are some good alternatives for lighting chaeto? From what I gather, the 9W might be overkill. I've seen people with subermersable lights in their fuge and regular lightbulbs on lamps. What do you think? Thanks in advance. Link to comment

Mr. Microscope
Cool. Good to know. I think I'll be getting one. Now if I can only manage to fit the stock light into the main display with the Satellite. Link to comment

evilc66
I used one of those on my BC14. Worked great, but super hot. Might be too hot to mount on or close to plastic. Link to comment
Mr. Fosi
Yes, they do run hot. I have mine mounted to a block of wood. Link to comment
Mr. Microscope
What about a regular bendable lamp with a regular lightbulb, or plant lightbulb? example: http://base1.googlehosted.com/base_media?q...99278&hl=en Link to comment
Mr. Fosi
I've seen people use these, but I don't know how well they work. I've never had good luck with fluorescents, myself. Link to comment
