My old NC6

Found a few pics today of my old NC6. I never added mare then the 2 corals because I spent most of my time working on my 55g. I don't think most people will believe me, but both these corals grew like weeds under the stock light. 18w 50/50 ??? I cant remember, but both were frags of just 2 polyps when I got them.

 

The NC was mostly stock. I did replace the pump with mj 900? I cant remember, but it was the pump everyone was putting in them at the time. Other then that it was stock. I had some LR were the bio balls were, and used the bio balls to take up some room in my trash can. Tank was up for about 2 years. I broke it down because of big life changes, I didn't have the time.

 

Ive been out of the hobby like three years so I cant even remember what kind of corals those are. Anyone?

I love it!

I have this tank and it is for a mantis but the first mantis died. Right now it just has rock, sand and a chocolate chip starfish with 3 legs since the other 2 legs are in my harlequins belly!

 

im going to put some frags in it after the swap and see how they grow!

thanks. It was a good tank. I didnt keep fish in it, but I had a strawberry crab. Tank was real easy to take care of with no fish. Hardest thing to keep up with was trimming the grass (calurpa).

I loved it. It grew pretty fast, but I think it looked good.

The NC6 was cool in its time, but if I were to buy one now I think I would go with the Nanowave 9. Skimmer, fuge light, 48w PC not bad for a little AIO, and there was some place online selling them for $89.
