Martin_S Posted February 9, 2009 Share Posted February 9, 2009 Hi. This weekend i finaly put my plan in progress! I replaced the Ballast ( EVSA ) of my RSM250! Because i dit this also in my 130 and find this the best upgrade for a tank .. my 250 had to believe on that too! basicly its just removing the OEM RSM ballasts and fit in dimmable's! i hava a 6wired cable for steering al 3 ballasts See the pics 1, the original setup 2, the fitted dimmable EVSA's 3, the 6-wired cable Link to comment

bonsai reefer Posted February 10, 2009 Share Posted February 10, 2009 Nice I'm planning to up grade mine with 2 ice cap 660's that will bring the output of each bulb to 60 watts from 39 watts.and installing 2 blueray led strips to get the shimmer effect of the halides without the heat. A Profilux Aquarium Computer is responcible for controlling these ballasts. Which model ? Are you satisfied from this computer ? Link to comment

I use the Profilux plus II EX im not only controlling the lighting ( i uss L1-L2 and L3- ) yes it is running parallel , but im able to control them separately i use the level ( auto top off ) i use the PH and Redox in a external Nitrate filter / reductor Link to comment
