ma_sha1
I built this 50W MH for my 2G pico by using 50W ballast to underdrive a regular 70W HQI Bulb. It was very successful & I used it only 2G Pico since May. No issues at all. See the build histroy here with lots of photos. http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=153663 Asking for $90 + shipping. I can add the pico skimmer you see in the thread for $10 extra. The Glass under the bulb was craked but not falling out yet, it was just a piece of glass from a 3x5" picture frame, you can replace that easily, I got it from 99 cent store. Link to comment
Rhythmicfire
is that uv glass Link to comment
ma_sha1
Yes. Actually, pretty much all glasses are UV glass unless they are Quartz Glass(Very expensive). The so called UV glass sold by Reef stores are regular glass heat annealed to tolerate high heat. Once you run a regular glass under MH a few times, it'll anneal & become heat resistant glass. Yes, the glass from ANY picture frame will block UV. Link to comment

ma_sha1
omg...i wish i had the $ for this! Sorry, jus made a correction, the bulb comes with the light will be 10,000K, however, unlike to 14K bulb thatw as in the thread, this 10K bulb is new, only tested/fired up to make sure it's working. It's bright as hell. And I am going to do a flat $10 shipping to lower 48 States of USA. Check this out, you can spend 3x this much on LED & it won't be as bright or even comes close to the full spectrum of MH gives. Also, this one don't have nearly as much heat as the 70W MH. Don't miss out. Link to comment
