rickjg
NC6 @ 42 Months My long over due update on the NC6 that I setup for the NC6 Contest I just wanted to do another post on this little reef tank, since it's still setup. I’ve gone very low maintenance with this nano-reef over the last year or so. It’s usually several weeks between partial water changes & tank cleaning. I added a Current 1/5 HP chiller in the fall of 07 after another heat wave and overheated tank which devastated many corals. The corals that remain have survived a couple of severe heat waves & the pollution from the subsequent die-offs and are some tough cookies. The Turbinaria is the only SPS coral that survived heat waves for two summers running. Skunk Clown, kept in nano-reefs for 6-1/2 years Yellow Turbinaria Green tip Hammer (Euphyllia) White pulsing Xenia Red Mushrooms Red/Green Acans Blue Rics -Rick Link to comment

ADAM Not much is different from when originally setup. There is no filtration other than a small amount of activated carbon which I usually change out a couple of times a month when I top off evaporated water. The tank could look much better if I regularly did water changes & maintenance a couple times a month. Link to comment
