RKL Dosing / Timer Programs

Setting up a BSR 1.1ml dosing pump. I'm looking to dose 20ml of ALK over a 24 hour period to start.

My plan is to split the dosing into 6 equal doses once every 4 hours of ~3.3ml per dose = ~20 ml in 24 hours.

I have this setup on my RKL.

Timer 01

Day of Week - Don't care

Start - Don't Care

On Duration - 00:3:00

Off duration - 03:57:00

Repeat Count - 00 (Don't Care)

Oscillate - On

Random - No

The BSR Pump is on Channel 1.

I set up the Channel as follows

Mode - Auto

Function - Multi-Timer

Timer1 - 01

Timer2 - 00

Standby Mode - Ignore

Standby Delay - 00:00:00

Anybody have an RKL and a set up program to share? I would like to see some options. My PH stays stable day and night, so strictly "night dosing" is not a requirement.

Before I put this into action, would like a little peace-o-mind ... lol

And yes, I have another for Cal. Think I can manage that once I figure this baby out.

Thanks for replies.

Found this on another site....

(0:04 + 5:56) x 6 = 24 hours

TIMER 1 - Calcium

DoW : SMTWTFS (everyday)

Start Time: 12:00:00 am

Time ON: 00:04:00

Timer OFF: 05:56:00

Repeats: 5

Oscillates: NO

TIMER 2-ALK

DoW : SMTWTFS (everyday)

Start Time: 12:09:00 am (5min break between dosing the two solutions)

Time ON: 00:04:00

Timer OFF: 05:56:00

Repeats: 5

Oscillates: NO

24mL of solution.

This is what I have come up with me just filling in the blanks from your previous post (hope you don't mind). When I got the outputs channel 1 (Timer 1) and 4 (Timer 2)of the RKL what should I set timer 1 and 2 to? Should I leave it at 00 or 01? What is the function of the 16 timers under timer1 and timer 2 when it comes to dosing pumps. Thanks

Messing around with the timers again. Found that they were coming on far too often.

Set as follows"

Timers

Timer 01

Day of Week ------

Start 08:35:00 PM

On Duration 00:04:00

Off Duration 03:56:00

Repeat Count 00

Oscillate on

--------------

PC4

Channel 4

Mode Auto

Function Multi Timer

Timer 1 = 01

The plan is to have it run for 4 minutes every 4 hours = 6 equal doses in 24 hours.

Testing to see what happens. If I set the Start Time to 00:00:00 is that even possible or necessary?

I have tried a few program settings and don't get consistent results. Could be a brown out, but I wanna know if this setup will/should work.

Thanks for any suggestions.

So far, not quite 24 hrs yet, this has been working ^.

The start time doesn't matter just the equal dosing.

Where are all the RKL owners hiding? ( They own Aqua Controlers, yea I know....funny ha ha)

LOL...come on...share your setup.

Yep and they weren't able to get any either. That's ok, I went with plan "B" or plan "AM" as it's known locally.

Don't forget GCR is having that mixer this Saturday...food / beer / and fresh stock.

Early bird is gonna be Thursday....buz me if ya wanna go.

Different timer for Calc

Anybody got a program to turn on a timer once a day for a set time period?

I'm working with this:

Day of week

SMTWTFS

On time

whatever say 12:00 noon

On duration

00:02:30

Off duration

00:00:00

repeat

01 or 00 ?

Oscillate

off or on ?

The timer comes on at the correct time but does not shut off. Any Suggestions or something to share? I'm using this to dose Cal. I'm posted in the DA forum as well....just an fyi
