jjohnson3
I have had my 38 gallon reef set up for about 5-6 months and decided its time to upgrade. You guessed it! 180 gallons!!! Alright, lets get to the point. My lfs has three small yellow tangs. All are about 2 inches. Maybe a little bigger. Max 3 inches. I talked to the guy and he said I would be fine. He also said that he wants them to go. He said if I took all three I could have the trio for 50 bucks! What do you guys think? They will be in the 38 for about a month just depending on when my tank is cycled. Its been going now for about a month. What do you think? Link to comment

They will probably kill each other in the month that they will be in the 38g. Link to comment
jjohnson3
I had a cleaner wrasse but it jumped out of the tank while I was at work a week ago. The fish right now are two clowns that are about 1.5 inches each. Link to comment

Longinus
I would pass on the trio, but I imagine a single tang wouldnt be bad for a month in a 38g. I am far from an expert though. Link to comment
jjohnson3
If I just got the single yellow tang, could I get the others when the 180 set up so all three yellows are added at the same time to reduce aggression. Sorry dont mean to ask so many questions! I have just lost quite a few fish due to stupid mistakes. Ones like putting a 3 inch hippo tang in a 5 gallon. That would be the worst! Take my advice. RESEARCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Link to comment

I am about to be headed to Huntsville, Al for a work related meeting. I wanted to know because I will stop on my way bac i am going to stop at the aquarium shopp and pick a few things up. Im in Florence so everything here sucks. My PETCO sells saltwater at good prices but ive seen dead percs in the tank for more than 4 or 5 days. Definately not healthy. Also a few times ive seen some king of purple gooey junk in the rocks. YUKKK!!! Link to comment
