sound3 Posted January 19, 2017 Share Posted January 19, 2017 Hi, i'm a noob... How should I setup my heater and chiller for use with at JBJ 28g nano cube? Am I supposed to set my chiller to turn on at 79 and shut off at 77.5 and the heater to switch on at 77 ?? Any help would be appreciated. Link to comment
tetraodon Posted January 19, 2017 Share Posted January 19, 2017 unless you live in a place that is always hot, chillers arent really necessary, most of the time evaporation provides enough cooling. are you using a controller? Link to comment

ReefSafeSolutions Posted January 19, 2017 Share Posted January 19, 2017 Do you have AC in Las Vegas? If you do, I'd expect a fan would work across the top of the tank. If you don't have AC and you live in Vegas, forget the chiller...move! My house in San Diego has gotten up to the mid 80s inside the house in the summer, with probably 70-80% humidity. No AC...our tanks are just fine with fans across the tops. Water doesn't get much above 80-81 degrees. Link to comment
