Filtration

Hello everyone, I've been out of the hobby for the past few years and looking to get back into it. I've decided on either an 11 or a 16.9 gallon cube nano reef and now I need to figure out filtration. My goal for the tank is to progress with it into a mixed reef so the water quality needs to be pretty good. Right now im looking at doing a HOB CPR refugium with chaeto and a Reef octopus NS80 HOB skimmer. Unfortunately a sump just isn't really an option for the tank as the stand it has to go on won't support anything underneath right now. Would this be considered sufficient filtration with a bio-load of maybe 1 perc clown, a blenny, and an appropriate feeding schedule?

You could do an hob filter to run floss, carbon, or other media.

I have a mixed reef 15g. All i run is an hob with floss, carbon, and phosguard(as needed).

Good husbandry, low bioload, and good lights is whats really important. Stability is essential.

If you go with the 11g 1 fish is enough, a clown produces a lot of waste.

If you go with the 16 then the blenny and clown is fine.

Some will say 2 in a 10g is fine but you may run into higher nutrient issues.
