need help

I have a 20L with a Orbit Marine Pro. is it possible that the light is not strong enough? I run it at 100% for 9 hours

 

my soft corals are slowly shrinking away but my hard corals look ok.

If the hard corals look good then I'd say it's not a lack of light. Rather it may be too much light. How long has that light been on your tank? Also what are your water parameters?

+1 above.... SPS need great light while some LPS and softies can deal with less light... yes I'm am generalizing so don't shoot but if your softies and lips are shrinking up you might be frying them .... I use the current orbit us LED and run BLUE at 90% and white at 30% ... great results so far

over a year. Parameters are in order.

Most lps prefer moderate lighting, aome actually like a lower light. My brain wasn't doing so good, shrinking and losing flesh, it was too much light. That was under the aquamaxx nemolight.

 

If your softies are shrinking up, you most likely may have too much light on them.

 

Try 80% blue and 40% white.

On the other hand, the softies could be shrinking for lack of nutrients compared to light? But yes, if LPS are doing okay then the softies aren't lacking for light.
