B-Ionic 2-Part question

Hey guys,

Looking to get into the two part dosing regimen as calcium and alkalinity are not staying in the range I want in my Nuvo 16g tank. I already use kalkwasser, but due to my sps load, i'm assuming it's not keeping up as it's only in my ATO.

I've been researching the B-Ionic two part, and one question I have is about the dosage per day. They say "Our recommended starting dose is 1 ml. of each component per 4 gallons of aquarium capacity per day." So i'd assume I'd start off with 2-3ml of each component per day and test/verify my alk and calcium levels. Further down the instructions they mention this "Never add more than 1 ml. per gallon of each component in a 24 hour period, and never allow pH to rise above 8.45." To me, these two instructions are conflicting each other.

Does anyone have any input on starting to dose B-Ionic 2-part in my small nano? This would be without a doser as i'll add the solution during feeding.

Thanks

Test first, dose, test again, then test again, the same time the next day. That'll give you a read of what 1 ml does, and how much is used in 24 hours. Btw, the test again.... Give it about 10 minutes to fully mix before testing.

That does make sense. Start at the bare minimum for dosing, then move up.

Within a week, you'll find that "sweet spot" and then you can put it on cruise control. Once a tank is fairly established, I only test every 2 to 3 weeks, or if something looks "off."
