How do I control my Paly's?

I picked up a small plug of Armageddon Paly's a couple of months ago and initially they seemed fine. Now they're spreading horizontally and seem to be crawling off the plug . I'm concerned they may threaten my Froot Loops and Dragon's Eye's. Should I cut the stomont, or will that cause more problems in the tank. And, if I do cut it, can I pull the polyps off the rock or will I have to cut them off? And finally, any chance this will release toxin into the tank? While I've had saltwater FO's and FOWLER's for over 40 years I'm new to having corals and the like. I would post pics, but the 1MB file limit won't allow me to.

Don't know if U are aware, but beware of Zoas! Palytoxin.

VERY aware of Palytoxin. 4-5 months ago my LFS owner got it from one of his frags while cleaning a frag tank. His hand swelled to about a third it's normal size and he was pretty sick for a few days. He's OK, but takes extra precautions now when he's in his tanks. Thanks for the image link. I'll try it tonight. Live-rock on!

in that case you don't have to worry about it, zoas and palys are usually fine and won't have a chemical warfare
