I lost my instructions for my bc,and wanted to know how often I have to change out the lighting for it.I want to keep it stock as I'm going to be keeping mostly softies and maybe a col lps?

Powercompacts have a pretty short life from when I used to run them. I'd suggest 6-8 months to maintain reasonable light levels.
