jshev
Whats a good return pump that will fit in my 10 gallon IM fusion? Does anyone have a DC return pump that fits in the back? Let me elaborate. Currently I have purchased a Tunze 6040. I am at the end of my cycle but at this time have no livestock. I need a pump for my water changes, but figured if I was going to buy a new pump I would use it for my return pump and use the stock pump for water changes. I have a intank filter, a eheim jager 50 WT heater, a coral box LED moon light, a tunze ATO, and thats about it for hardware so far. Let me know what ya'll think! Link to comment
tsinc
I've heard of people using the cobalt maxi-jets and also higher gph pumps that are adjustable. Depending on your filter media you may to to turn down the flow on the pump. I personally don't like this though because it can make a pump super noisy! I personally have been looking for info on a pump upgrade and haven't found much info but I plan on upgrading to this pump and using a spin stream. Hopefully this was helpful! Link to comment
Clown79
I upgraded the original pump to a maxijet900, it fits in the 10g. Link to comment
Dunlager
I have the sicce 1.5 in my 25 but would be just as good in the ten. With a spin stream nozzle you might not need an extra powerhead in the tank depending on your planned stocking. Link to comment
Sancho
These 2 pumps are tiny. Thw 1200 would be the one I would get as the 650 doesent come with a threaded output http://www.fish-street.com/jebao_dc650_nano_dc_pump http://www.fish-street.com/jebao_dc1200_return_pump Link to comment

HybridOfHe
I installed a Eheim Compact 1000. It fits well in the space. It has adjustable flow ( 40-267 GPH ), which is great for avoiding an overflowing media basket. It was noisy & vibrated for the first few days, but is pretty much silent now; maybe there was just trapped air inside. I have it paired with a Hydor deflector nozzle. There was one issue with the installation. It uses a 5/8" ID tubing and the IM Fusion comes with 1/2" ID tubing. I was able to stretch the original tubing on with some hot water and some elbow grease. Link to comment
