Arkansashog15
Hello everyone I am new to this forum. Super excited to hear from other people. So here's the story my girlfriend got me into this she has multiple tanks and convinced me to get into it as well. So this is what I have a biocube 29 with the hood off with a ai prime over the top. I have a media basket running floss chemipure elite and chemipure blue. Next to that I have cheato growing with a light back there. The tank has about 25 pounds of live rock and a few Zoas. It's been running for about 6 months. I like to take things slow and I'm ready to move into more stuff. My girlfriend knows a lot and I have been on sites constantly learning and looking at different stuff every night haha it seems kind of ridiculous that I'm so into this but it's amazing. I was wondering if I could get feed back on my rock work I'm thinking I need something more vertical but not sure. Also I think I just want to do a zoa/acan only tank. Thoughts? Please excuse the starfish it is my girlfriends she needed to house it somewhere for a couple of days. I only have two clowns and a small watchman goby. I'm more interested in coral them fish to. Thank you all can't wait to learn more and see what the future holds. https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8754/28315036656_14bf3490ac_c.jpg https://m.flickr.com/photos/143301793@N08/28348935965/ https://m.flickr.com/photos/143301793@N08/28348944405/ Link to comment

fishfreak0114
to NR! I really like your scape as is! It's really up to you if you want more vertical or not. As for Zoas/acans, if they're what you like then go for it! it's addictive collecting Zoas. I keep telling myself I won't buy any more but I always do! I think it's awesome that your gf got you into reefing! Link to comment
Clown79
Welcome! I like your aquascape. I don't see any need to change it. I see no issues with a zoa and acan tank. Just keep a distance between the two. Acans are beautiful. I love brains- all of them. Fyi: don't get peppermint shrimp with brains. They often go after fleshy corals. Some luck out with no issues while others are like me- i watched 2 peppermints dessimate 3 brains, including my beautiful acan Link to comment

Arkansashog15
Acans are doing awesome! Loving to eat. Got a couple free stuff that wasn't doing so hot from a person getting out of the hobby. One baby baby acan lived through his tank https://m.flickr.com/photos/143301793@N08/27786553614/ Also got the dendro that isn't doing to well but is eating don't have a pic yet Link to comment
Clown79
I have dendro. They sometimes close up for long periods which makes it hard to feed them. Try feeding them 1-2x a week with a pipette. They love frozen mysis. I found mine were happier in a good flow area as well. The great thing about dendros- they bounce back quickly. I had one doen to the skeleton and I fed it twice and its regrowing. Link to comment

It's purple with a gold ring around the mouth with its skirt alternating gold and purple https://m.flickr.com/photos/143301793@N08/28517774711/ These are looking sweet too https://m.flickr.com/photos/143301793@N08/28326621220/ Link to comment

Astinus
I Zoas! And I certainly am not into Names! I could care less. If it looks pretty to me and the price is good, well, it might end up in my DT. But, being on a limited fixed income...That pretty eye candy has to wait. I can't believe some prices I see on certain sights out there...$200+ for a 1 inch or smaller "Frag" UR NUTS! Link to comment
Clown79
^ I know! Absolutely ridiculous some of the prices Link to comment
