nickkohrn
I have an IM 10, and I have had a hell of a time keeping my Dwarf Ceriths inside of it. They fit through the overflow, and one has already made it to my ATO float switch. I do use the screen top, which is pushed to the back of the tank so that there is no space between the false wall and screen top for them to fit through, but they still make it through the overflow and end up in the back chambers and outside of the tank. I also had some larger Nerites in the back chambers, which is probably from when I didn't have the screen top pushed back far enough, but I want to forego that worry altogether anyway. Should I be using a different type of snail for my CUC in my tank? If so, then do you have any recommendations as to what would work nicely in this line of tanks? I plan on getting a 25 gallon lagoon in the future, which has the same setup, but only larger. What have you found to work best in your IM? Thanks for your help!! Link to comment
tarunteam
Have you tried telling them to "cut that out"? Really nothing to do. If you want you can get a screen. Mine climb out. I just pick 'em up whenever i see them and throw them back in. Link to comment
Elizabeth94
I dont have any small snails in my fusion ten. To be honest, I only have three snails. One turbo snail, and two nassarius snails. I find that the turbo is a workhorse, and cleans my tank fairly well. The nassarius snails dont eat algae, they eat the left over food for me. All are larger snails. Link to comment
Tamberav
I stopped keeping the dwarf ones. Nerites sometimes piss me off too if they are somewhere without a top. Jerk snails. Link to comment

They don't knock over any of your corals, specifically the Turbo? I stopped keeping the dwarf ones. Nerites sometimes piss me off too if they are somewhere without a top. Jerk snails. I will have a top, but it's not tight-fitting do I'm not quite sure what to get. I'll probably get a couple Nassarius snails, but I need to find another non-intertidal species so that they don't just handle out at the top of the tank and then escape or cause an ATO failure in the back chamber. I have had the turbo for about 3 months maybe, and not a single sps has been broken off the rock. He is about half the size of a golf ball right now. Great worker Link to comment
cuboy
You can try this to see if it helps . https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B012HI8A9A/ref=mp_s_a_1_33?ie=UTF8&qid=1472368303&sr=8-33π=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=innovation+marine&dpPl=1&dpID=41PtupPT82L&ref=plSrch Or place a sponge piece on the back of the overflow to block it Link to comment
