xaflatoonx
My skimmer has been running over a month now. But the skimmer collection cup doesn't stay down. Evidently the pressure of water from the pump is so much that the cup just lifts up and the bubbles and water start pouring from the sides. The rubber seal is basically worthless. How do I keep it down? Why can't there be something it locks in to? Link to comment
Bowen1022
Can you post a pic of your back chambers? Your water level maybe too high Link to comment
teenyreef
I agree, sounds like the water is too high. You want to have a little waterfall as water moves from the skimmer chamber to the pump chamber. Link to comment
xaflatoonx
I don't think that's that's the issue. But will post a pic shortly to show. Link to comment
teenyreef
Sounds good. The weight of the collection cup is more than enough to keep it in place when things are working right. The rubber seal just lets you adjust the height of the cup. The top of the water should be about an inch below the top if the white main body of the skimmer when you remove the cup. All that should be getting to the bottom of the cup is foam, not bubbling water, if that makes sense. Link to comment
xaflatoonx
That makes perfect sense actually. I think you are right. I get it now. I will adjust and see what happens. Oh and thank you Link to comment
