NanoReefer27
Interesting question here: I have a green star polyp, it is a pretty decent sized colony but actually has not yet latched on to a rock. Here is my situation: I will have to move my tank in about 3 months unfortunately I want to kind of latch it on to the back wall of the biocube and have it spread along the back wall, which will contain the growth and isolate it to that area so it isn't ridiculous all over the place. The problem is, if I glue the frag to the back on the larger size plate, it will be permanently attached to the back. This would be fine, but I have to move the tank. Is there any way at all that I could make this happen? Link to comment
seabass
So are you worried that if the coral is attached to the back, it will be exposed to air during the move? How long, would you estimate, will the tank be empty? Link to comment
NanoReefer27
Yeah exactly, I would say, since it is about a 25 minute drive that the tank will be empty for about 45 minutes. Link to comment
seabass
I bet it would be alright (maybe pissed off, but alright). You could even put a towel soaked in saltwater over it. However, if you are really concerned, you could wait until after the move to secure it. Link to comment
NanoReefer27
Yeah, the towel idea is solid, I think I will try that thanks Link to comment
Clown79
A papertowel soaked and placed on the coral should give it enough moisture to last 45mins or just wait to adhere it. Link to comment
