Unidentified tentacles

I see all these tentacles all over my porous live rock.

 

Are they a type of starfish?? I don't see the body just the tentacles coming from the rock

 

You can see in the picture just to the right of the star polyp. kind of blurry but best I can do

They be small Brittle Stars! :)

They tend to stick out their arms to filter the water for anything tasty that might drift by, my own reef is overrun by them.

I swear, whenever I do a major feeding and turn off the pumps it's like Cthulhu lives in my tank!

so I assume they are harmless

Quite.

 

They're a very handy part of a clean-up crew... better at cleaning out the crevices of live rock than bristle worms and not capable of riddling your hand with spines.
