Help with temperature controler

Hey guys.

 

Just bought on eBay this temperature controler from China:

My concern is, is that suitable to my pico tank?

 

Does somebody know if there's mercury on it or those digital ones are made differently?

 

Just don't want it to leave any material in my tank if it broke one day.

I have not ever used a controller myself so I'm not much help with that part.

 

Are you concerned the part that goes in the water has mercury in it?

 

If the product was made in the US or Cda I would say don't worry as they aren't made with mercury anymore nor sold in stores due to health risks but international products not imported by a store could have mercury.

 

Can you google the product to find out
