Please forgive the sound, my return pump was leaking voltage and I have a temp in there that's too loud. Link to comment

jpfishfan09
That looks like some good growth! What are the settings on your Kessil for color and intensity? Link to comment
tanacharison
The encrusting montipora are also showing the fastest growth in my tank. Time. Color. Intensity 10:30 30% 20% 11:00. 40% 35% 12:15 70% 45% 14:00 75% 55% 17:00 25% 30% 23:00 0% 0% Link to comment

jpfishfan09
Drexel, is there a reason you have your color on 30%? I skimmed some Kessil threads that said many people were getting their best growth at that color blend. Link to comment
drexel
Yes, the PUR % goes up the lower the color % is set. Also, having these lights for over a year, I've tried a lot of settings and I find anything below 50% gets great results. You can achieve good results at any color setting (that's the great thing about these lights), but you really start to see more color come out at the lower percentages. I like the color at 30%, it's not too blue and there's enough white to show everything without it looking washed out. Link to comment
moy71
i get good polyp extensions on my kessil a160 too. tanacharison
The colors on corals are amazing at 30% florescents seem to pop well and the coralline algae has a soft glow. My light settings are attempting to mimic sunrise and sunset something I just personally like. I will say I've been considering cutting my high point back to 60%. Its really bright... Like highlight any imperfections bright. Haha Link to comment
