ajmckay
Stop making these threads. Nobody is going to tell you that mixing a predator with reef fish is a good idea. Either post a reasonable stocking list or continue with your experiment. Remove the lion fish and limit the damselfish to 1 or 2 and you have a "reasonable" stocking list assuming you have the ability to run a decent size skimmer and do your water changes regularly. Don't stock to this level and expect to skimp on maintenance though. Keeping a lionfish, or any other predator in a reef tank is always "at your own risk" - it's as simple as that. Link to comment
Clownfish2004
Okay I know that which is why I called it a fowler reef build. So I did some more research and decided that the best I could get was probably just two lionfish in the 40 and that be all since there are not many small predator fish. Then I came across this video which A gave me a idea a small puffer and B made me feel really bad for some lionfish out there.Look at this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbIn1fcx9hQ.Would a spotted puffer work well?? Felicia
No, a puffer is not ok with lionfish. The puffer fish will eat the lionfish's fins. Link to comment
Clownfish2004
That is what I thought the what I ma being told is I can keep one type of fish right. Link to comment
Tmr8188
I think you should start with actually having the equipment to run this. Then worry about a stocking list. Link to comment
