I'm having an issue with low pH. I'm thinking it's high in co2. Can someone confirm?

Here's my parameters:

temp: 79F

dkh 9

Ca 500

Salinity 1.025

Uh, what is your ph and how did you test it.

High co2 is common is newer houses that are shut for summer or winter but it's usually not a big deal. Stop testing PH, problem solved!

My corals arent doing so well. They arent opening. Polyps are okay though. Montipora bleached out and died.

What is your pH at? I doubt that is the cause though. probably need more information about the tank to figure out the cause. Maintenance, dosing, size. stock, types of corals, nitrate, po4, Mg, ect.

Don't dose pH buffer, the swings will surely wreck corals.

Chasing pH is something we used to do in the 90's and we used it as the whipping boy any time things went south, nearly 20 years later so many things have changed and evolved in the hobby to where you almost never see anyone pointing the blame anymore as we found it's not as big of an issue as we suspected before.

The Params you mentioned look good (assuming your Magnesium is ~1350) but we are missing allot of things here, what is the normal fluctuation of your pH daily, what type of lighting are you using? (Bleached Monti cap) Is there anything growing on your sand bed that shouldn't be? Any sudden changes to the tank as of recent? What are your Phosphates at? Are you using a reactor?
