Aidenb
Will an Innovative Marine 18w LED be enough to sustain a green bubble tip in an 8gal? I also have a fluval sea 14W that I could run in combination if need be but I don't want to fry my coral. Link to comment
Admonition
I grew candy canes, frogspawn and other LPS under that light in the past, I don't see why you couldn't keep the bubble tip healthy with it. I'd be more concerned about the bubble tip getting too big and/or running over my corals in a tank that size. Link to comment
ReeferReefer
I personally think the tank size is the bigger problem here. BTA can grow very large and tend to move around a lot. I honestly wouldn't try a BTA in anything smaller than a 20l. Bigger is better for these guys as they have more room to move around and the tank will be more stable. I would look at Rock Flower Anems instead for a tank your size. Link to comment
Nixperience
The BTA full grown will take up 8 gallons of space. Link to comment
