Ivery
Would this be the same as dosing vodka? Link to comment
jamescstein
probably though is the moonshine distilled in copper or glass? I think that most commercial liquor is distilled in glass now. Link to comment
WibblyPig
http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2008-08/nftt/index.php It says Vodka/ethanol and that's ethanol Link to comment
MBS
Yes, its the alcohol that the bacteria use as an energy source. The alcohol is ethanol regardless of the type of spirit. You may have to adjust dosage based on proof. Vodka is typically 80, moonshine whisky is often in the 100 - 120 range so a 20 - 40% dosage decrease may be necessary. Link to comment
CronicReefer
As long as that white lightning is just ethanol and water it should be fine if it was distilled in stainless steel. Link to comment
ndrobey
You should, of course, test the moonshine for quality by drinking a suitable quantity, such as a keg. Link to comment
