SouthFlorida_Tron
Hey guys, For the longest time, my salinity would rise from 1.025 to 1.028 a week after the water change... That's with an ato! I discovered that my doser was causing it to rise. I turned off the doser and the salt stabilized. My calcium and magnesium aren't dropping much but alkalinity is... How should I go about dosing correctly to avoid the issue again? The doser runs: Alk 12 pm, 6pm, etc CA 3:05, 9:05pm, etc Mg 2am, 2pm Link to comment
basser1
How much alk are you using? My tank consumes about 30 ml per day and I spread my dosing schedule out at 3 hour intervals. From what little I have read, apparently dosing 2 part will raise salinity. Here are a couple of threads from the RC chemistry forum: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2544301&highlight=salinity+increases http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2529946&highlight=salinity+increases Link to comment
