bob115
So yeah, title says it all. Got my new 99% membrane from spectrapure and a new flow restrictor. I flushed the membrane and was seeing what ratio the new flow restrictor gave before starting to cut it, and when I tried to remove it to give it the first cut its now stuck into the fitting on the membrane housing. I tried pulling but that didn't work, and I tried getting in there with needle nose pliers, but that really only crimped some of the tubing. Any thoughts on how to proceed? Link to comment
AZDesertRat
Have you tried pushing the collet or ring on the fitting in while pulling the restrictor out? That usually works. The outside diameter of the restrictor flange is about the same as tubing so when you puch the collet in it releases its grip. Link to comment
bob115
I did try that, but I'll try a few more times and see how it goes. Edit: After several attempts and a fair amount of yanking, I got it to release. On a side note, man did the restrictor barely come long enough. I took off .75"-1" and it got me to 3.3:1 from like 2:1. Link to comment
AZDesertRat
Push the ring all the way in and it should release. Link to comment
