Will pom pom crabs nip at ricordea yumas?

Primary tank goals are ricordeas and inverts... I am torn between sexy shrimp and/or pom pom crabs. I am guessing a crab is a crab is a crab. Opportunistic :).

So am I safe just going with sexy shrimp or are the pom pom crabs going to play nice with the ricordea yumas? Will the pom pom crabs bother the sexy shrimp?

Thanks guys and gals!

I've had a couple pom poms and never had them bother anything. Usually they find a hole or cave and hide out. My current one ignores my porcelain crab but seems scared of the cleaner shrimp. Sexy shrimp would be more visible ime.

Thank you GoingPostal, sounds like the two (pom pom and sexy shrimp may cooexist?)

Great news, but what about picking on the ricordea yumas? I would love to have both inverts in the tank but not at the life of the yuma's....

Another question about the sybiosis of pom pom crabs.... When the crab sheds, is the sybiotic anenome always going to grow on the crabs claws? If so i wonder if the the symbiotic anemone is deep rooted into the crabs flesh regardless of shell/shed?

I had a trio of sexy shrimp in a 2.5 gallon and they ate a baby rock flower anemone and picked the skirts off some zoas.

Before that I had 10 of them in a 46 gallon and they all lived in a group under a frogspawn and never bothered anything.

I think they will be less likely to bother your corals in a well fed tank.

I think I read somewhere that the Pom pom crabs set down ther anenomies, shed, and pick them back up again.
