Protein Skimmer Issues

So i have an Eshopps Nano Skimmer and it would always produce a dark brown skim but now it is just producing a light green skim... any ideas? could it be the tank is too clean

Nano skimmers often don't produce the dark skimmate your looking for. You could adjust the foam head lower, and skim drier.
