Hig789
I'm getting tired of every time I change water having micro bubbles come out of my 9001. I'm not sure what else to do other than put some sort of check valve on the return to keep the level in the back compartment the same when I shut the return pump off. I don't think I have enough room for a regular 1/2" swing check valve between the pump and the bulkhead. Has anyone used the loc line check valve that BRS sells? http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/loc-line-1-2-check-valve.html Link to comment
jestep
Do you have it on a controller? I have my skimmer and some other equipment automatically shut off when my return pump is off. Link to comment
CJJon
No need for a controller. Sheesh. Everyone want to use $1000 controls when a $50 power strip will do. Put the pump and skimmer and ATO on one strip. Hit the toggle to power them all off and you are good to go. Check valves are something to be avoided. Link to comment

I have a main power strip that is always on (lights, doser, vortech, etc) and then a second strip with return pumps, slimmer, reactor, etc. Before water changes I just flip the secondary power strip off Link to comment
Hig789
I shut the skimmer off and remove the cup before turning the pump off. For some reason I still get micro bubbles from the skimmer after a 2.5g water change. Link to comment

Just that you can program the outlet to shut off any time the return pump is off if they already had one. Link to comment
Hig789
Don't need a controller though. My mp10 and nano box already have them. Nothing else needs controlling and I just have a power strip to shut everything else off. Link to comment
