jamescstein
GL. FYI thats a Synchiropus stellatus (a Ruby Red Dragonet aka Red Scooter Dragonet) not a blenny. Minor thing. Most coming from the store a nearly straved when you get them unless it was recently caught as most stores don't have their natural food and they don't take well to prepared foods. It is possible to get them to eat prepared foods but you should be prepared to provide it with copepods as well. My wife has 7 dragonets. 2 Mandarins, 3 Ruby Reds and 2 Spotted Mandarins. They all eat prepared foods but they are also constantly hunting pods. We've also had 4 that were too far gone to keep alive, they had and ate all the copepods they could want but died within a week. Matteo
I add copepods monthly and frozen cyclops every other day. I bought him from the LFS and had seem him for a few weeks in there and they said they were feeding cyclops. so far he looks good still and I making sure to check tank for pod population and to see if his belly is nice and full.
