rlugo29
I have a Marineland 20L which is totally drillable. I'm debating doing an external overflow or making a ghost overflow to get water to my sump. Link to comment
myarmolich
Do it! I DIY'd a ghost overflow for my new build and it is fantastic not having a big overflow box taking up real estate in your tank. esp something as small as a 20long Link to comment

bdevillier19
i had a 20 long that used a glass holes overflow. if i did it again id go with and external overflow. a tank that is 12" wide is challenging enough to aquascape and maintain, let alone when valuable tank space is being taken away by an overflow.
