davea
hi all i'm looking to upgrade my 10 gallon to a 30 gallon tank and was wondering the best way to add rock. obviously i have about 10kg from my current tank which has been in there for 14 months but i was thinking could i mix that rock with dry rock? would that have any effect on moving fish and invertebrates over to the new tank? also if anyone has any pointers general for a upgrading i would be grateful thanks, Link to comment
HarryPotter
Hi davea! I just started a pretty much identical thread and got some great answers- see it here: http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/361079-upgrading-tanks-due-to-too-much-coral-how-to-do-it-safely/#entry5024942 I would say that if your tank is stable and healthy, use that rock and buy ReefCleaners dry rock to supplement it. I have done a scientific style comparison of ReefCleaners, BRS, and Marco rock to conclude that ReefCleaners is the cheapest, best quality, and will not leach phosphates. Link to comment
