pico1
Woohoo! After months of waiting, my new tank is FINALLY here. I originally wanted the black but the white was all they got in, and it's actually really growing on me. So far I've got a VorTech MP-10w, Eheim return pump, Tunze ATO, Reef Octopus Classic 110-SSS, Cobalt Neo-Therm heater, and a Mainland pro-series light. -150W phoenix 14k -4x T5 (ATI Blue+ x 2, ATI True Actinic, ATI Lagoon Blue) -2 x LED moonlights Filling it up! Installed an under counter light in the sump area and *tried* to organize the cords... Link to comment
gus6464
So you got MH with 4x T5 THAT close to the surface? Tell me you are running a chiller because you are going to boil the water along with every coral in it. Link to comment
pico1
Actually I ran all the lights for 10 hours and the temp didn't budge, and that's without any fans even. My house stays at 70 year round so the lights probably just give the heater a break Link to comment
gus6464
what valve is that? It's Red Sea's custom gate valve for the Reefer series. It's to control the overflow water level. It's a herbie overflow but with a cup attached to the top of the PVC that is used to control the siphon. It's a pretty neat design and the overflow is silent. Link to comment

Weasel Baron
looks great so far! If you AC your house 24/7 keep an eye on your pH, as the CO2 buildup might keep it lower than you'd ideally want it. Happened in my place and was wreaking havoc, I ran an airline from my skimmer to outside to solve it, but building a CO2 scrubber is just as easy if thats not a possibility Link to comment
12_egg_Omelette
What made you choose one of these over the C/D models. Just curious because I'm in the market for a tank upgrade. Link to comment
pico1
Thanks for the advice, Weasel! I'll keep an eye on it for sure. 12_egg...are you referring to cadlights? Got the aquascape mostly done, might move a rock or two still. I also painted the paneling strip on the fixture to match the stand. Looking pretty slick. Link to comment

HarryPotter
A COUPLE? DID YOU JUST BUY ALL OF THOSE IN ONE TRIP? lmao Im just jealous of that wallet! I have to be stingy and limit myself to one frag at a time Link to comment
WhiteWulfe
Love your definition of "a couple"! Link to comment
pico1
hahaha I was being facetious! All those frags, probably near 100, were in my old 50 gallon that everything is being transferred from Link to comment
