tibbsy07
I think you have to decide what you feel it's worth, and then start the asking there, knowing full well that you probably will get lower than that. You might try looking in your area for similar set ups to see what they are selling for and what people are buying them for. It also might work best to sell the livestock separately and do that before you sell the rest of it. Link to comment
jestep
You planning on parting out? Typically, whole tank setups take a long time to sell if you want to get a decent portion of what you put into it back. Parting out is faster and usually results in recouping more of your expenses. It is way more complicated though and you have to do it in stages, fish, coral, rock, then equipment. Link to comment

tibbsy07
I like what you did with that stand, btw. Ikea expedit with a custom outer reclaimed wood frame? I like the extra wood you put in the lower left section and the wood you backed the two other cubbies with. Wish I had done that! As for parting out, it definitely will sell faster that way, but it takes more time. Even if you don't part out the set up itself, definitely sell the livestock separately. People are often very specific about what livestock they want, and if you are trying to sell ALL of that with a tank setup, many will pass because they want to start their own system and choose what they want, not just buy everything already set to go. smeagol108
Hey nice tank! I actually want one that is those exact dimensions, wish you didnt live on the other side of the country. lol. Is the tank drilled with a sump? I use that same kallax stand currently minus all the fancy wood. I was wondering if you did the wood for looks or was it necessary for the weight of the tank? I was hoping to use my kallax stand when i upgrade to a 24x14x12. thanks! Link to comment
