I reluctanly sold my sps dominated all in one tank over 5 years ago when I moved to Boston, but now I got the itch to start another reef tank.

I asked simply nano tanks (Joe) to build me a 24x20x12 rimless specifying dimensions for the whole tank and for the rear compartment, but I didn't really think it out, so I modified the rear compartments despite Joe's great work building it to my original specs. Now, I have a return pump, the rio 1700 plus operating at full tilt, and will have 2 sicce voyager nano 1 powerheads on a wavemaker. I have room for a refugium, and I have mangrove trees and chaeto already there on my first day. I cheaped out and got a led 55x3w, but it looks good to me so far, I went to home depot and made a diy light hanger to hang it on, and probably spent too much time getting the light perfectly level (I'm not the most crafty person lol). Today I got the light hanger installed, the light hung, rock/mangrove/chaeto bought, and put in the freshly mixed saltwater. I still have to cut my egg crates and create spots for the mangroves. I can't wait to cycle this sucker for the next 3 weeks so I can do another sps dominated reef tank! Here's the pics on my first day:

link should work now i think

How has the tank been? I just got a tank from Joe, and havent set it up yet. i was a little concerned about uneven edges and the sides and front all sitting on top of the bottom piece as opposed to butting up against it like other rimless tanks are built...
