BJV
Hi All, Anyone have any idea as to what the pink growth between the polyps is? Any how do I get rid of it? The last photo is my tank at 5 months. Thanks, Barry Link to comment
Pinner Reef
Looks to be a sponge, or perhaps fungus. FW dip on the sponge, Furan 2 dip for the fungus Link to comment
BJV
Looks to be a sponge, or perhaps fungus. FW dip on the sponge, Furan 2 dip for the fungus Thanks for your input. The effected frag can not be remove from the live rock. There are a couple of other coral attached to the rock, Pink and Green" Damicornus and other zoa's. Will I have to dip the hole rock? Will dipping the hole rock in ReVive help? Thanks for any other help, Barry Link to comment
Pinner Reef
Well I'd say the best place to start it to take the rock out of the water and gently scrub the colony with a toothbrush. If it is a sponge this should be enough to kill it (sponges cannot stand air exposure). If you were to do a dip I'd actually suggest popping the original colony off the rock then cutting the mat so the unaffected polyps are still on the rock and you can treat the zoas on their own Link to comment
