Jebao wave makers.

Hi

Just after a little info if anyone can shed some light in the subject.

I have a 60 liter nano tank and want to add a wave maker into the tank.

As money is tight at the moment I was thinking about the Jebao WR-4 or the Jebao WP-10.

As the tank is only 60 litres, what would be the better pump?

I did hear somewhere that even though the WR-4 is rated less volume, it's a lot stronger than the WP-10.

I don't want the tank to be a washing machine.

Very confused.

Cheers

Really, neither can be considered too much, as the flow rate for both is adjustable. Even if the lowest setting is too much, you can run a lower voltage power supply (24v by default, 12v as an option) to reduce the flow even more.

From what I understand, the RW4 is the newer version of the WP10. I have a RW4 and love it. I have a 20 gallon (60 liters is about 16 gallons) and I use the RW4 on full blast in wave mode 1. I'm thinking of getting a second one.

I would get the RW4 since it has been said that it's smaller, has more controllability and has a lower speed setting.

Thanks Fellas.

Have just ordered the RW-4

Good luck. Unfortunately these are hit or miss. Some have lasted a long time (mine has lasted for 6 months) and some break after a week. I have a WP10

I think the RW can go down to a 5 gallon tank and a WP can only go as small as a 10 gallon. I've been using 2 wp-10s in a 29 gallon for about 10 months with no issues, just gotta clean them in vinegar about every 3 months.

I'm running a wp10 and a ac110 in my 10g and everything in my tank loves it. I do change from w1 to else sometimes. Else seems to keep diatoms off my rocks better. Keep on s3 that's the lowest speed. Works great.
