ColoradoNano
Would like to know what product(s) you use to clean the outside glass aquarium. Want mine looking clear outside and in. Link to comment
WibblyPig
Spray Windex on a paper towel in a different room and then wipe it down. Then wipe it again with a dry towel. That's for a glass tank, not sure if I'd do the same for acrylic. Link to comment
Fnard
Ro di water. No streaks, no worries. Link to comment
reefernanoman
Just regular water from my faucet. I wet a paper towel and off I go. I would never use windex! Even as it was described earlier. Link to comment
Sancho
DI water. That is what professional window cleaners use. Link to comment
jack1978
Glass aquarium. ...just a dry cloth. Buff it. Link to comment
B16acrx1988
No streak windex on a paper towel Link to comment
12_egg_Omelette
Glass aquarium. ...just a dry cloth. Buff it. That's what I do. We also just use do in the lab for acrylic. Link to comment
RK_tek
I use vinegar on a paper towel then a wipe with RODI. I use a microfiber towel to buff smudges and nose prints(usually mine) off the glass between deep cleanings Link to comment
HM3105
I spray distilled water on it then use a shower door squeegee. You don't need to use a chemical you just need to use something that doesn't have minerals or other things in it that will leave streaks once it dries. Link to comment
CronicReefer
Rubbing alcohol works the best imo. Just pour some 90% onto a cloth or paper towel, do not spray it. It's a good solvent and will leave your glass squeaky clean, streak free. Link to comment
Angel<3Nanos
Guess I'm the only one that uses the Kent spray cleaner lol. http://www.amazon.com/Kent-Marine-00944-Acrylic-Polisher/dp/B0032GG292 Link to comment
123kid
Windex on ppr towel an wipe away Link to comment
afyounie
Windex on the glass and then wipe with paper towel. I don't have an open top to my tank though. Granted I've been doing it this way since I've been keeping aquariums. Never had a problem and never thought it would be a problem. I don't clean the glass that often either. Maybe once every couple months or so. I don't touch the glass with my greasy fingers. Link to comment
DurocShark
Vinegar diluted with ro/di in a spray bottle. That's been the most successful thing I've used on hard water and salt. Have to buff a little after. Link to comment
GHill762
windex sometimes, rodi water is great also. I'd say 95% of the time I just wipe it down with a microfiber cloth like you'd use on your car, don't even need to wet it usually and it'll clean that glass up real nice. sometimes a little ro/di is needed to get some of the smudges or salt smears off. freaks out the fish though because they're usually like bright green or yellow and they glow under reef lighting. Sunstar
Dunno, all my methods have left streaks Link to comment
Thomas898
Buff it with a microfibre cloth. For both acrylic and glass. Link to comment
