Hi folx i am new here so i am not sure if there is a post about this already, but does anyone have a new sketch for the arduino typhon? i am looking for a sketch with a i2c lcd added to it and lightning storms and clouds.

i have looked at that sketch :) and the biggest issue i have with it is it does not have i2c implemented. so i was hoping someone out there had one with i2c ;)

right, after having a look at things i figured i would change a few things to the sketch and fix it since no one had one that was built. if i can and no guarantees are made here i'll see if i can add in some features like the storm and clouds. and if there is a interest i'll post it here.

That would be cool. The Typhon has fallen out of favor for the Storm and Bluefish controllers now that LDD are more prevalent, but I'd imagine there is still a small following that would appreciate an upgrade :)

Updates to the typhon would be cool ;) Some ideas, I altered the time on mine to move in 10 minute increments vs. 1 minute as that's a lot faster to program. Are storm and cloud effects and i2c the only things you want to add to the mix?

Jedi what's the LDD have to do with the typhon falling out? Is it the # of channels? I use a version of the typhon on a regular arduino board with LDD drivers...

Limited programming capacity and a four channel limit versus the Storm that is just a few bucks more.

hi and sorry i haven't been here for a while. i did get the typhon running with i2c but it seem like it has some limitations with the lcd i am using. i wanted to add temperature in the tank and humidity outside as well as temperature outside the tank. and for those i was thinking about a ds1307 and a dht11 sensor. the lcd i am currently running is 20x4. and it ended up with 2 channels not working.

my goal with this project is a complete reef keeper with a feed function. only thing i am not doing is wave control.
