Deejax
So I saw this snail for the first time today and I have no idea what it is. Any help would be appreciated! Link to comment
Jbrock183
What size would you say it is? Link to comment
BadCrab
Not a great picture, but appears to be Turbo castanea to me. If it's very small it could be a species of Collonista Link to comment
Deejax
it's about quarter sized Link to comment
Deejax
Not a great picture, but appears to be Turbo castanea to me. If it's very small it could be a species of Collonista The shell does look alot like the turbo castanea. I can't find a good picture of an actual live one online though. If you look closely at the first picture you can see what i think is its mantle under the shell and it kind of reminded me of a cowrie's so it had me alarmed although i knew it wasn't a cowrie. I have no idea how it got in there Link to comment
Jbrock183
Not a cowrie. Possibly collonista Link to comment
JavaJacketOC
I have one of these, I bought it from my LFS and was told it came in with the Turbo snails so it was assumed to young Turbo but it hasn't grown. Link to comment
patback
All I know is they are reef safe and good algae eaters. I've had a few that looked like that. Link to comment
