RJWalters
I am going to set up a 5gal rimless and was wondering what hob filter I should use. I was thinking about an AquaClear 50 but I was worried it would be too much. Any suggestions would be welcome. Link to comment
RK_tek
Ac 50 would be my choice. Depending on scape/ stocking you should not have any issue with it being too much flow. You can always trim the impeller tabs a little if you find it to be too much for some reason. Link to comment

e-rock
I used a tru Aqua in tank filter in my 5 gal cadlights zen pico.... it was like 80gpm and I placed some carbon inside...worked well ...did some chemical filtration and created perfect water movement ...just do water changes also its small, cheap and dosnt look bulky...
