Suggested replacement bulbs for Odyssea T5 Hight Output

I am looking for suggestions for replacement bulbs for the Odyssea 20" High Output light fixture. I'm having a very difficult time finding a better quality bulb that would fit this particular light fixture. Does anyone have any suggestions for what type of bulbs I should use for replacement and where I can get them from?

Are you sure it's not a 24"? I'm not aware of a 20" t5ho.

As for bulbs . Would do a combo of ATI blue+ and ATI coral+. you could toss in a purple+ if you like that color or an actinic for extra pop.

Assuming it's a 4 bulb fixture I'd probably go with one coral+, one purple plus, two blue+..

Have a look in the "t5ho information" thread stickied in the lighting forum. There are a lot of bulb combos in there.

My guess is they are 18" T5 bulbs. Only a couple of manufactures for them im afraid.

I know aquatic life still has them, on sale at Marine Depot

The 20" fixture uses 18" bulbs. Had one years ago. Your best bet if you can still find them is to by the UV lighting 18" bulbs. There was a post a while back in the classifieds here on NR. if they are available, buy every single one you can. If not, aquatic life and tru lumen are the only halfway decent bulbs for 18" fixtures. But you'll end up spending close to $100 on bulbs for that fixture. Have you though of switching to led? The reefbreeders nanolite will probably put out more light than that t5 and for close to the same cost as the bulbs you're looking at buying.

Here's the thread. If the guy still has them buy them all. Crazy good price on a discontinued bulb.

The fixture is 4 bulb and is actually 19.5" long. I measured the length of the bulbs and they are just a little over 16" long. I found 18" UVL on aqua cave but I just want to make sure they will fit.

I'm definitely open to a new fixture but can't afford much more than the cost of 4 18" UVL bulbs (about $100). Would the reef builders nano light provide better lighting than the fixture I have with 4 18" UVL bulbs (assuming they will fit)?

I'm using standard Wavepoint bulbs - 1 10K K Daylight White, 2 actinic blue and 1 purple-pink for my Odyssea. But the bracket is around 2" over here. I wasn't aware they were selling shorter versions?

I just received my new UVL bulbs. They didn't have adequate stock to fill the order as I placed it, so this is what I have. 1- 454 NM, 2 Super Actinic R, and 1- Aquasun.

Suggestions for what order I should place them front to back?

The Super Actinic bulbs I received were defective. However, AquaCave has provided adequate customer service in addressing my concerns - assuming they follow through with the replacement and refund for the bulb they were unable to replace as they promised.

Quick question. As far as UVL bulbs go, which is the best? Also, is the Super Actinic bulb better than the Indigo Sun or the Aqua Sun bulb?
