If that's the way you wish to go...

2 strings of RB. 32

1 string of blue. 16

1 string of white.16

1 string of violet. 16

1 string of all the oddball colors everyone usually wants to put in. 16

There, 96 LEDs.

1 power supply

6LDDs, 1 LDD board

6 strings for a 6 channel controller.

Instead

You may want to consider Philips K clusters.

Or run 6 Nano Box pucks down the middle.

Yeah, 96 is a bit much IMHO.

If you're willing to go a little off what you have now, use six Nanobox 13up boards in two rows spaced 6" apart. Or just copy the same basic ratio and use individual stars. You pay a bit more for them all on one PCB, but it also helps to eliminate spotlighting.

Not for intensity. For coverage.

Anyway, make a string 14, not 16. Will give you more overhead on the power supply.

The Vertex Illumina convinced me of this. Long rows of tightly spaced LEDs do what? Simulate diffused T5 lighting with LED shimmer. Expensive lesson, but worth it.

The 24" model has 4 clusters of 16, and 3 clusters of 8. Thats 88 LEDs for a 24" fixture, run low and cool. Almost the same amount of light as 6x36 ATI T5 tubes(as I ran it). If it were a 36" Illumina, it would be a lot more. And lot more intensity than you need.

Coverage and diffused quality of light, not intensity.

can i add 60 Degree lens to 48 leds

instead of increasing the number of leds

i have to rebuild the entire led fixture

I wouldn't use lenses. Opposite, use a diffusion screen.

Branching corals, like acros, millis, and branching monti love diffused light.
