Quieting down a biocube

Hello, so I found a lot of info on this online but wasn't quite sure on everything so I figured I'd make a post. Iv got a biocube 29 and it is kinda noisey. I'm gonna remove the false bottoms in chambers 1,2 tonight so the nitrates done build up. In chamber 2 all I have is a led and cheto? (The one with all th little balls that how on it). Oh, and my biocube filter. I tried raising the water level and that helped a little bit not a lot. Would a media basket help? I also noticed what looks to be a overflow drain from chamber 2 to 3 (where the return pump is). I read somewhere that should b blocked? I'm also gonna replace the fans but don't wann a spend 30 bucks on fans when I would like to get a whole led kit from rapid-led. Unless there are some cheap slient ones out there. I'll post pictures of th overflow drain I was talking about shortly. Thanks in advance

I assume you mean water noise.

To reduce water noise, keep the water level high. It won't overflow, it's physically impossible.

Remove bio balls also.

Removing false floors won't do much for noise so long as you keep water level up.

For the fans, well they will make noise. I suppose you could get some quiet PC fans and do a retrofit.

Keep in mind, even if you do RapidLED, you still need the fans.

Ya no bio balls. I wanna remove the false floors to reduce nitrate build ups. Also I'm gonna make my own media basket outta plastic at work today. I'll post a pic of it when it's done
