Scoly deflates sometimes?

Maybe other Scoly owners could chime in on this. My Scoly is typically quite puffy during the day, tentacles out at night. However, sometimes, during the day, the Scoly will literally deflate and become flat.

Is this normal?

Mine does all sorts of different stuff like that. Mine will look great some days then the next it looks completely different. I've had mine for a few months with 0 trouble, so I think it's probably normal.

Seriously love your sig! What is it, and where is it from? I am a fan of all things horror (books, movies, TV shows, etc).

I was thinking that it was normal for the Scoly, but I searched the net for any similar posts, and haven't seen anything about Scoly's completely flattening out every now and then. It's color is good - just flat as a pancake at the moment. Who knows.

Thanks for your feedback :)

Yeah sounds pretty normal. I'm not sure where that gif is honestly, I'm the same way I love all things horror but I don't know where that one came from, haha!

That's my scoly, I recorded that a few days ago. I moved mine to a new spot recently so it's been looking all sorts of funky.

That depends. Does it play for the Patriots by any chance?

Sorry, it was not possible not to make a lame deflate joke here. Sounds pretty normal. It's probably just reaction to something in its environment. As long as it's usually nice and puffy and looks healthy, I don't think you have anything to worry about.

My scoly does this deflating thing as well (approved by NFL referees). I just believe it is the coral expelling the old water/waste inside itself and taking in new fresh water.
