eboretz
first time reefer. What do you guys think, too much rock? 10 gallon. Link to comment
ajmckay
It's a little hard to tell based on the angle... distorts the perspective quite a bit. Even though you might get some reflections I think it might be best to get a front and side shot separately. Maybe shoot in the dark to reduce reflections? IMO from the look of it though I would say that it looks cool as it is but not a ton of room for growth. But it depends on what you are going for with this tank. If you're looking to grow out a bunch of corals then I think you'll run out of space quick. If all you want are some polyps and mushrooms and stuff then you will probably be alright. As a rule of thumb I keep my rocks 1.5" minimum from the glass all around - this makes it a ton easier to clean with a mag scraper and also makes it easier to maneuver things like feeders, nets, and my hand if I need to grab something. jikiya777
this is more personal opinion than anything else. if your going for say paly/zoa or shrooms then you'll need less room than for some species of lps and most if not all sps Link to comment
Partially Submerged
Agreed. Going to be more of a softie tank. You don't have much of the precious real estate just below the surface that is so great for SPS. But the rock looks awesome. I think this will make a very cool scape. Link to comment
jtwisconsin
I also like it, but second the recommendation about making sure you have enough room to get an algae scraper in there all around. Link to comment

I need to adjust and accomodate this in my scape. Good point. Link to comment
