makita82
I am looking for a used Solana HQI disco ball lamp. It doesn't need to be working but in pristine condition. If anyone has one that I can take off their hands let me know. I would like to gut it out and install a Kessil Lamp in it. Thanks Link to comment
cody6766
It might be a stretch, but one of my LFSs had 2 last time i was in. It's called Wet Pets, in Norman, OK. Give them a call and see if they'll ship one. Link to comment

cody6766
Boo on those guys for not answering. I was in there the other day and they have quite a few people working there. Hopefully they get back with you. Hell, it may be worth a phone call. Link to comment
makita82
Ya its a bummer but I have a few other ideas I might try. Who knows I might like the look of the Kessil I just hate the wire mess. But I came across a custom gooseneck for it that would solve that problem I just think it is a bit overpriced. Link to comment
zooman72
You are being generous when you say it is "a bit overpriced"... Link to comment
Fnard
I know its not a "ball", but this may be along the lines of something that may fit in to your style. Fairly cheap too. Link to comment
Dramad1
I have a bc29 hqi lamp, I know it's not a disco ball lamp but maybe you can find a cool disco shade to put around it. It only has about 3 months use on it and it is packed and ready to ship. 50$ +shipping if interested. Link to comment
jbb
I've always thought this was a pretty sweet idea for hiding lights. Link to comment
makita82
Thanks jbb I have seen that before that does look really good that might be a good option. Thanks for reminding me of this. Thanks Dramad1 I don't actually want an HQI I wanted the disco ball to install a Kessil in. Link to comment

Fnard
Hey, Fnard, do you know anything about that light? What kind of bulbs does it take, etc.? If I remember correctly, it was just your standard e26 socket housed in shade suspended by the cord and mounted on the ceiling. The shade seemed to be aluminum possibly or some other thin metal. IMO it should be easily gutted and retro'd to your liking. If you follow the breadcrumbs back one level you will see they also have a bigger version. It is pretty beast, but I was digging it.
